Slicing The Moon…

Author: I will admit it. I have been known to watch Japanese Anime every now and then. I can’t help it. I’m always up late at night, when the cartoon network shows Adult Swim. And before I even realize what’s happening, I’m watching some random anime. And no, I’m not going to try and explain why I watch the cartoon channel. Except to say that anime characters (especially the ninjas) are cool. And they have cool swords. There. I said it. Whatchagonnadoboutit?
Ok, so there are maybe one or two anime series I catch. Surprisingly, the topic of this post is from one of those shows I’ve never watched, namely Bleach. Randomly surfing a few sword sites, I came across this… er… pole arm of a sword. The Zangetsu Bankai Long Sword, AKA Slicing Moon from the Bleach Anime Series.

Ok, that’s an appropriately long name for a very long, black sword. This sword is a 68″ overall, with a honkin’ 50″ worth of razor sharp black steel for a blade.

Now these things always raise questions in my mind. Like, how do you wield a sword that is so close to your own height? My answer? Very carefully, lest you inadvertently end up parting ways with some bodily extremity that you were actually quite fond of…

And then there’s the name. Slicing Moon? I don’t know ’bout all that. It’s certainly long enough to slice at the moon. Dunno if it would make any significant cuts on the moons surface though. But with these things you never know.

Now that is something to see, a ninja astronaut. But what deranged aliens would such a spaceman fight? and what pocket would they keep their smaller blades in without risking damage to the suit? After all, modern space suits are not designed to resist cutting implements, nor are they very flexible, the best one could hope for in a spacesuit that we have today would be for the aliens to be throwing sticks and stones at us.
Oh no, you misunderstand… You would not need to go to the moon in order to cut it in half with this sword… You could simply slash away at it while standing right here on earth, and it would reach out and cut the moon in half…
You’d have to have some excellent hand eye coordination to pull it off, but hey… ROFL…

Dude I own A custom sword that i had to be exactly the real size of Ichigo korisacis sword. IT”S HUGE! But it can be used to fight with. I have used it. it is abe to be handled. you just have to how. and it is called moon cutter because its like saying power house. if he uses his Special attack he cut the distance From the earth to the moon. in simpleten terms– Big Boom! Big Madningly crazy Langth. also it has the mediforicle meaning that he touches the lives others in the dark, cutting away the dark, and shedding them light. ppl think! its driving me insain how some of you seem so dim witted.
I honestly thought that the guy who wrote this article would have thought a little too. his sword is big for a reson! it shows that he is strong, he carrie on. Duh!
