Caution! Dangerous Curves Ahead…
It should come as no surprise to anyone that I have an abiding love of curves. Lots of different kinds of curves. I’ll leave the specifics up to your imagination. However this site was started for one specific brand of curves. Those of the sharp, shiny and dark steel variety. And these.. curvy steel implements…
can in fact carry curves so *sexy* that if you happen to be the religious type, you might well need to go to confession for just looking at them.
OK maybe that’s just me.
But still. There are some knives that I find almost immoral… Kinda like this one:
Yeah… The Fighter. From the South African site Herbst. And more evil, seductive lines I have not seen, barring those of elven design. Not to mention the level of detail, fit and finish on this knife is just absolutely mind blowing. Look at the grip on this blade. Incorporating an integral, twisted iron patterned full hand guard, the grip sports a set of beautiful polished wood scales, capped on either side by finely detailed gold and silver accents.
The gold treatment even goes between the scales and the blade, all the way up to the top of the bolster. Just absolutely amazing detail:
The pommel is equally well treated, but also sporting a rather evil point:
On either side of the blade at the ricasso, the guard flows into a highly polished flourish, that contrasts excellently with the flat finish of the ricasso area.
And from there on up, is one of the most sinful blades I have ever come across:
A double scalloped spine, meets the smooth complex curve of the front edge of the blade in a beautiful symphony of shiny, curving steel, with curves that just, don’t stop… Absolutely eeeeeevilll… *droool..* Errr.. Ahem.
Yes… I, err, I think I need a cold shower now. Not that it will do me much good, but…

this thing is absolutely, 100% beautiful. i can’t stop looking at it.
:O
That is a pretty sexy knife.
Sorry for the dubble post, but were can I buy this? On the linked site doesn’t seem to actually sell it.
Wow…
@TheHat
Sadly, this knife is a one-off. I’m sure he’d sell it for the right price, but I can almost guarantee it will be for nothing less than an arm and a leg, and probably your first born…
You will have to contact him directly for pricing, his contact information is on this page: http://www.herbst.co.za/contact-us
I was afraid of that, I think I’d rather like to keep my arms and legs, after all without them how could I properly duel?
Indeed… I think I value my arms and legs more than any knife I know of or have. I can always buy and/or make another knife, arms and legs, on the other hand, are a little harder to come by…
this is one of the most amazing weapons I have ever seen. it’s a shame that it is so ridiculously expensive
expensive? yes. ridiculously so? i don’t think so. not for a sword of this quality. this is equal with, if not above, the quality of the angelsword line and those START at 1k
actually i just took a look at the specs and it’s made of stainless so it’s not to the quality of angelsword. at least not as far as usability goes. though the materials used for the decoration are VERY high quality.
Indeed. This knife was not designed with practical usability in mind. Stainless steel is not really an ideal combat steel. However for a custom blade, and with the other high quality components and work that went into it, the price is fair. It is certainly expensive, but for what you are getting, you can’t really complain. I mean just look at it…
two words describe this masterpeice, @#$%ing gorgeous
LOL I don’t know if that first string is a word, but I’m with ya!
